Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate intern to assist with our Children’s Program. This role provides hands-on experience in supporting children’s activities, educational development, and overall well-being in a structured, safe, and nurturing environment.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities, including arts & crafts, games,
and educational exercises. - Support children with daily routines, including meals, transitions, and hygiene as needed.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Observe and report any behavioral or developmental concerns to program supervisors.
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping, including attendance, progress notes, and
incident reports. - Collaborate with program staff to implement weekly schedules and special events.
- Engage positively with children, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Education, Child Development,
Social Work, or a related field. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s growth.
- Ability to follow program guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
