SHELTER
The Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County operates a Free Emergency Safe Shelter open to anyone fleeing their home because of violence, or threat of violence.  More than 400 victims of domestic abuse and their children call our Shelter home each year.  It is a place of hope and healing.

Our Shelter provides a safe space where residents can plan for a future free from violence.  While at the Shelter, we provide food and clothing, as well as other comprehensive services including:

  • counseling
  • housing referrals
  • life skills and parenting courses
  • decision making & goal setting
  • children’s groups
  • case management
  • limited assistance for transportation
  • medical attention
  • legal advocacy
  • community referrals

The Family Crisis Center Safe Shelter is free, so that no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
