The following is a letter written by a mother who came into our shelter with her three children to be safe from her husband. It was difficult for her to leave her home. It took great courage for her to develop a new plan for her life and move forward alone. What she found at our shelter was that she was not alone.

A Letter To Others,
It makes you humble to be here. It was hard. But it is beautiful. God has a plan. And the people who work here and all who have helped – there is a reason for everybody.
It was a beautiful day. The kids faces were so happy. It made me happy. No one was fighting. Everyone was sharing their toys and playing. And SMILING.
I have a plan now. Other people have been through this. I know it is hard – but I have a plan and it is going to be alright.
